Oracle is a tech company, that makes software and tech tools to facilitate the business affairs, like storage and management of data. The major service that Oracle best known for is its database software.

Companies use this database software to store, manage, and organize a lot of information, like customer details, employee records, sales, finances, etc.

Oracle makes many types of software, but we are going to keep our focus on Oracle Cloud.

Oracle follows a quarterly update cycle for its cloud applications (like Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications), and these updates are labelled as:

  • 25A – First quarter (January)
  • 25B – Second quarter (April)
  • 25C – Third quarter (July)
  • 25D – Fourth quarter (October)

Now oracle has brought its new updates 25B Cloud and with this it brings out a host of improvements across its different modules, like HCM, Financials, SCM, and Project Management.

The updates aim to make the process smoother and enhance an overall user experience.

Now let’s look at the updates of Oracle Cloud 25B.

Human Capital Management (HCM): Making Workforce Management Smarter

Now you can define your break and shift times in any number of minutes which gives a very accurate scheduling and easier flexibility.

You can also add notes during the employment changes using Redwood Add Assignment and Local and Global Transfer processes.

Admins can now choose what information to show during life event reporting and even hide unnecessary regions on employee pages. This makes the experience less cluttered and more relevant for users.

Salary and compensation pages have been updated to allow saving drafts.

Admins can also use Oracle Visual Builder Studio to customize payroll pages, choosing what data is shown to suit their organization’s needs.

Buttons like “Save” and “Save and Close” can be hidden on timecards if they’re not needed. When schedules are used to generate timecards, employees can now see their shift details clearly.

Enhanced Security Features In Oracle Cloud 25B Release

Security stands as a primary focus throughout Oracle Cloud 25B Release operations. The recent update delivers advanced security capabilities to protect user data against cyber threats. Businesses can maintain cloud environment security by implementing stronger encryption methods alongside improved identity management and enhanced threat detection capabilities. Security enhancements provide essential protection layers needed when enterprises move their critical workloads to the cloud.

Financials: More Control and Accuracy

Users can now easily view and update invoices based on purchase orders

In the update tax and accounting field has also been added to spreadsheets, this would make the huge data entries more accurate and less prone to error.

There is also a newly added feature that allows users to check the available funds before distributing different project costs.

Smoother Inventory Management

Oracle has introduced a cleaner interface for viewing inventory transactions. This will help the team understand inventory activity at a glance.

Smarter Billing and Cost Tracking

Generative AI helps extract important terms from contracts, and it’s now possible to group billing lines by person for non-labour costs. The users can also manage unbilled transactions with the new Redwood interface.

Payroll costs can now be distributed to projects based on timecards, making the process more automated and accurate. The Oracle testing automation tool, Opkey, makes this process simple.

Users can also avoid budget overruns as oracle now makes sure funding is used only if it’s available. Oracle Cloud 25B shows that Oracle is continuing to focus on user-friendly design, AI-driven insights, and process automation. The updates across HR, finance, supply chain, and project management help businesses stay agile, efficient, and well-prepared for growth.
