Jimmy Kimmel is an American comedian, television personality, producer, and writer, and he is also best known as the talk show host of his self-titled talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has also hosted and acted as a co-host in various other television programs, like The Man Shoe and Win Ben Stein’s Money. Kimmel worked as a radio host on a college station before he started writing promotional content for Fox before his television career. Kimmel originally had no interest in working on screen, even turning down various offers for television, until Win Ben Stein’s Money in 1997.

Jimmy Kimmel, whose full name is James Christian Kimmel, was born on November 13, 1967, making him 57 years old. He has a reported net worth of $50 million, with his yearly salary estimated at $15 million. Kimmel married Gina Maddy in 1988, and they split up in 2002. The couple have two kids- Katie and Kevin. 

And in 2013, Kimmel married Molly McNearny. The couple met when she was working as a writing assistant in Kimmel’s show.  Despite her initial doubts about the relationship where she was dating someone who is essentially her boss, they worked it out and married each other. They are still together despite the initial hesitation and even have two kids, Jane and Billy.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Family

Jimmy Kimmel’s immediate family has appeared on or worked on the Kimmel Show at some point or other. His uncle Frank Potenza had made multiple appearances on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show until he passed away in 2011. His aunt, Concetta Potenza has also featured on the show. 

Jimmy Kimmel’s cousin Sal Lacono wrote the show, and his brother Jonathan Kimmel directed it. Jimmy Kimmel’s oldest son Kevin is a production assistant. 

Billy, Kimmel’s youngest son was diagnosed with a serious congenital heart defect shortly after his birth in 2017. The defect is known as Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. Billy underwent 2 surgeries before he was even one year old. Fortunately, Billy made a full recovery and is thriving now. He turned 7 in April of 2024.

Jimmy Kimmel has quite a number of properties in his portfolio. Up until 2014, he owned two separate homes in the Hollywood Hills. He bought his (current) primary residence in the Hills in 2008 for $6 million. This house is a contemporary residence, with 5,5oo square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms, and 4.5 bathrooms. This house also boasts a large swimming pool and deck, a backyard with grass all over, and a car garage. 

His first house which he bought in 2002 has this vintage, almost cottage-core vibe to it, with five bedrooms, and 5 bathrooms for $945,000. This property was built in 1947, and it has this gorgeous view of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory. This 3,605-square-foot property includes a bar, formal living room, dining space, a recording studio, an outdoor kitchen(how cool is that!), and a pizza over. The house also has a swimming pool and a spa. Kimmel held on to the property despite not living there for a while, and he decided to sell it in 2014 for $2.2 million. 

In 2008, Jimmy Kimmel bought a beautiful Hermosa Beach which he purchased in an off-market sale for around $8 million. This house was built in 1940, it is a simple beach cottage that is located at the end of a cul-de-sac that features a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean and is located in such a quiet neighborhood as well. This property is 2,100 square feet of land area, with four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This charming home has a lot of outdoor space with a lush landscape all around. The property still exists. 

While Kimmel expanded the original property, he left the original structure of the property to remain, the construction is still going on as of 2024.
