He is an American professional boxer, nicknamed “Tank.” Davis has held the World Boxing Association(WBA) lightweight title since 2023, and he previously held the Regular version from 2019 to 2023. Davis also held the super featherweight title in the International Boxing Federation(IBF) in 2017. He held the WBA super featherweight title (Super version) twice, between 2018 and 2020, and the WBA Super Lightweight title (Regular version) in 2021.
Gervonta Davis was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and he was raised in the Sandtown-Winchester community in West Baltimore. He has a brother, and his parents were frequently in and out of jail and were drug addicts.
