How Did They Meet?

Let’s talk about how they met- they met in 1977 when she was a guest on his show. They were married soon, in 1980. Their love for each other started blossoming the moment they met each other, They describe that they experienced love at first sight.
Some Of The Places They Travelled
Marlo Thomas told Travel + Leisure about how they fell more in love in Italy, and of all the places they traveled together. She talked about how much fun they had together while traveling on a train from Florence to Paris, and how fun it was for them, with a bottle of wine and some bread and cheese. And this was just within six months of them being together!
Travel is Always More Important Than Jewelry
Marlo also said to Travel + Leisure that they have made some decisions regarding their expenditures, saying: “We decided when we were about to have our first wedding anniversary… that instead of spending money on jewelry… we would take our money and do a trip. So every year on our anniversary, we go somewhere,”.
“Sometimes it’s been to places like China and Japan or Italy or France or Spain, and sometimes we’ve only had a couple of days so we’ve gone to Bermuda. But the idea is just to get away together.”, she said.
Furthermore, she talks fondly about the souvenirs that they bought from the places they’ve visited. She says when people visit her place and ask her “Oooh, where did you get this from?”, she would proudly say “That one is from Greece, and that one is from China”. And she mentions how much he values her feelings, and her need to travel places- this keeps them from fighting during their travels. They are indeed a dreamy couple.
