Ryan Garcia was born on August 8, 1998, in Victorville, California. He is an American professional boxer. He held the position of World Boxing Council (WBC) interim lightweight in 2021. He was seven years old when he started boxing, and he dreamt of representing the United States in the 2016 Olympics. Garcia attended Adelanto High School but left later due to his commitments to amateur boxing. He became a 15-time national amateur champion and has a record of 215 wins and 15 losses.
Garcia turned professional when he was 17, on June 9, 2016. His first professional bout was his fight with Edgar Meza in Tijuana, which he won by TKO. He was signed by Golden Boy Promotions in November 2016. Garcia shared on his instagram that the robbers robbed him the morning of, and he was grateful to the Lord that him and his family weren’t there.
