Michael Gerard Tyson was born on June 30, 1966. He i an American former Professional boxer who competed between the years 1985 and 2024. Mike Tyson is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, and he was nicknamed “Iron Mike” and “Kid Dynamite” even from the early parts of his career. He was later known as “The Baddest Man On The Planet.” In between the years 1987 and 1990, Tyson reigned as the ‘undisputed world heavyweight champion’.

Tyson has won 19 professional fights by knockout, and 12 of them in the first round. He holds the record as the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title at the age of 20 years and 4 months and 22 days. Tyson is the first heavyweight boxer to also hold the World Boxing Association(WBA), World Boxing Council(WBC), and International Boxing Federation(IBF) simultaneously. Not only that, he was also the only heavyweight champion to unify them in succession. Tyson became the Linear champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks within 91 seconds of the first round, the following year. Tyson was knocked out by the underdog Buster Douglas in 1990, losing the undisputed heavyweight championship, making it one of the biggest discountenance in boxing history.

Recently, Mike Tyson lost a highly anticipated match with a YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul, which became the talk of the town. It took place in a historic fight card on November 15, in Texas, on a live stream on Netflix. This fight caused a major split between the fans and the critics, leaving Tyson baffled by the result. It is alleged that after the fight, Tyson cashed a reportedly $20 million paycheck and ended up buying a $13 million megamansion in Florida and also a nearby plot on a local airstrip.

Mike Tyson’s Las Vegas Home

Let’s take a look at his lavish six-bedroom home just outside Las Vegas, which is a testament to his successful career. His house is nearly 28 kilometres from the Las Vegas Strip, in the Seven Hills neighborhood in Henderson, Nevada. This neighborhood is known for its upscale residential communities. Reportedly, Tyson purchased the property for US$ $2.5 million in 2015, and he has opened its gates to the media, showing us a glimpse of his sanctuary.

The mansion is on a 10,400 square foot land area, and is built with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, with ample space for entertainment. The Mediterranean-inspired architecture stands out beautifully against the Nevada desert. The house has iron railings, stone fireplaces, and a marble winding staircase in the foyer. The outdoor kitchen and the patio are perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining guests. The house also has an outdoor swimming pool and a lush landscape, which is pretty secluded, offering privacy.

Mike Tyson’s Florida Home

Mike Tyson has a 2.7-acre plot in an exclusive gated community called the Tierra del Ray Estates. It has six bedrooms and eleven bathrooms and was originally listed at just under $17 million when it was still under construction. Construction ended at the end of 2024, and Tyson and his wife Lakiha closed on the home on January 9, 2025.

The 12,286-square-foot waterfront estate contains many amenities, including a one-acre private bass pond for fishing, an 80-foot swimming pool, a spa, and a separate guesthouse. The main residence has five bedrooms, and the guesthouse has one, making it a total of six bedrooms.

Tyson also renovated the barn with air conditioning, which has impact windows that are designed to withstand hurricanes. The house also includes a home theatre, gym, a haircut lounge, prep kitchen, wine storage, and a four-car garage, which is designed to accommodate car lifts. The house was originally listed for $16,975,000.

Tierra del Ray Estates

The Tierra del Ray Estates community is considered to be the ‘Land of Kings’ to the locals, according to its website. The neighborhood contains 78 homes or parts of land within it. Tyson has also purchased another plot of land in the Tierra del Ray Estates, and the records show us that he and his wife own a 2.26-acre plot inside a private airpark, which is just a 10-minute distance away from his house. He bought this property in May for $1.69 million, and this plot contains a small cottage that has a private airplane hangar and it offers access to the airstrip.
