It was in 2006. When Sheen bought the property for a record-breaking $7.2 million and was his personal retreat for many years. But once it had been cleared of his belongings, the mansion was sold in 2020 for $6.6 million, bringing to a close an era for the actor’s association with this upscale home.

Charlie Sheen, born Carlos Irwin Estévez on September 3, 1965, in New York City, USA, is an actor from the United States who is renowned for his gritty roles in movies and television alike. He gained huge success on the CBS television sitcom “Two and a Half Men” (2003–2011), reaching the height of his television career as one of the highest-paid actors in television in 2010 with a pay rate of $1.8 million per episode.  

The television personality did take some hits around the time of his successful stage, due to some personal issues including substance abuse and legal issues, ultimately leading to his departure from “Two and a Half Men.” In 2015, he announced that he was HIV-positive, which raised awareness and  also spurred some public health campaigns. 

Despite his ups and downs in life, Charlie Sheen is still in the entertainment spotlight due to his work in several film and television productions. Charlie Sheen had a home in Beverly Hills, California, that he purchased for $7.2 million in 2006, showing his wealth with the luxury estate it was, in the Mediterranean Revival style.

The mansion, constructed in 1992, comprised approximately 8,932 square feet of floor space, 7 bedrooms, and 7 bathrooms. Double-height living spaces with light spilling through large floor-to-ceiling windows were featured inside. The formal dining room and living rooms (some with dramatic stone fireplaces) and a chef’s kitchen with walk-in pantry and dumbwaiter that terminated in the home theater gave the impression of grandeur.

The master bedroom was grand, boasting its own screening room, wet bar, family room, and spacious walk-in closet. The bathroom boasted spa-like amenities with a contemporary deep-soaking tub and double marble vanities. The rest of the mansion additionally boasted a gym, game room with pool table, and lounging areas.

Outdoor Features

The outside area had it all for leisure and enjoyment, which included 2 pools, (the second of which was a lap pool), an outdoor kitchen with a covered patio for protection from the weather, basketball hoop, pitcher’s mound, and a large green area, perfect for entertaining and parties.

Sale of the Property

Having listed his home in 2018 for $10 million, Sheen eventually sold the property in 2020 for $6.6 million, which served as a proof of the unpredictable state of the real estate market and the one-of-a-kind status of homes owned by celebrities.

Sheen’s house in Beverly Hills epitomizes Hollywood luxury and demonstrates the actor’s knack for comfort and extravagance. Although Sheen is no longer an owner, the house is still a valuable and noteworthy home in Beverly Hills.
